Rivage News and Trailer Timeline

How to read this timeline

Rivage is still upcoming until September 22, 2026. This page is a public-history list: trailers, store posts, festival notes, and the voluntary AI disclosure. It is not a patch-note dump for a game that has not unlocked yet. When a source contradicts the current date, the current date wins and the old line stays as history.

Exnilo Studio is a two-person Montreal team. Raw Fury publishes. The game is single-player only, with no multiplayer mode, no combat, and no microtransactions. Soundtrack is by the two developers. Engine is Unreal Engine 5.7.4.

December 4, 2025 — announcement

Rivage debuted at PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted with an announcement trailer and a live Steam page. Official copy placed humanity in the 25th century, introduced planet VESTA, and put the A.R.E.S. research station in orbit to study it. A space-time anomaly follows. Miranda wakes alone. The crew is gone. K9 keeps discoveries across loops.

The same window framed Rivage as an atmospheric puzzle adventure, not a shooter and not a creature-horror title. Wishlisting on Steam began here.

April 16, 2026 — Galaxies demo and story trailer

At Galaxies Spring 2026, Exnilo posted a story/demo trailer and put a Steam demo live. The demo promised about an hour on the first sections of A.R.E.S., with a clear warning that saves would not carry into the full game. Console versions (PS5 and Xbox Series) were part of the wider 2026 plan around this period; PC remained the place you could actually play.

Players met May 1, 2467, pharmacy batteries, Time Trickster, and the Stardust password pattern. Those discoveries still inform the demo guide and loop planner. They are not a promise that every room stayed frozen.

May–June 2026 — showcases, Tribeca, August 13 date

In May the game appeared in Steam’s Cerebral Puzzle Showcase. On June 7, 2026, during the PC Gaming Show, Exnilo dated Rivage for August 13, 2026 and shipped a release-date trailer. Shortly after, Steam news confirmed a 2026 Tribeca Festival Games Program selection. Developer Alexandre Quintin called the nod a reminder of how much work the small team had put in.

A small demo patch (publicly noted around late June) fixed rendering resolution saving. That is the level of change the studio was willing to talk about before the bigger delay.

June 15–22, 2026 — Steam Next Fest and patch 0.9.61

Rivage joined Steam Next Fest (June 15 to June 22, 19:00 UTC+2). In the same window Steam news listed demo patch 0.9.61, which added Miranda’s voice lines throughout the demo after player feedback. Those lines are part of why later posts could say the shipping build had “new voice lines” on top of the Next Fest slice. The festival window closed; the public demo itself lasted until the August 20 pull.

July 22, 2026 — delay to September 22

Exnilo and Raw Fury moved launch to September 22, 2026. The letter is blunt: two people, a pile of demo feedback, extra time needed for user experience and quality of life. They knew the autumn calendar would be harsher. They delayed anyway. The release date page is the clock; this entry is the reason the clock moved.

August 18–20, 2026 — demo pulled

On August 18 the studio announced the demo would leave Steam on Thursday, August 20. The reason was representation: the work-in-progress ship build had new UI, new voice lines, new narrative hints, reworked puzzles, and added puzzles. The old hour no longer showed Rivage. They also said the full game would still feel familiar — same station, many of the same story pieces.

If you already downloaded the demo, local copies still run. Saves still do not carry over. That combination is easy to get wrong in forum posts, so this timeline repeats it.

August 26–27, 2026 — Gamescom / Future Games Show

During Gamescom, Rivage appeared in the Future Games Show with a new gameplay trailer pointing at the September 22 date. The trailer leaned on environmental puzzles, hidden writing revealed with a special light, journals, and K9. IGN and other outlets clipped it as a PC/console look rather than a new date change.

AI disclosure, soundtrack, festival context

Steam’s voluntary AI generated content disclosure states that generative tools were used in early visual prototyping and that no AI-generated content is present in the shipped game. Prototype assets were replaced with original artist-made work. That disclosure is part of the public record; it is not a gameplay feature.

The two developers composed the soundtrack. Tribeca sits on the same prestige shelf as other Raw Fury-adjacent festival titles without turning Rivage into a highlights reel. For people and systems instead of press, use the Characters Hub and guides.

September 22, 2026 — launch window

The current plan is a same-day launch on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Microsoft Store Play Anywhere. Price remains TBA. System requirements are already posted. After the unlock, this page should grow with real patch notes, not with guessed day-one content. Until then, treat every “out now” caption as wrong and every August 13 thumbnail as archive.

Official socials and Discord are listed on the links hub. If a storefront clock disagrees with a trailer end-card, believe the storefront and this timeline’s September 22 line.
